February 2024 Pupdate for Raelyn

Posted 2/15/2024

Raelyn continues to progress towards being a Hearing Assistance Dog. She is now learning how to alert her handler when she is laying on the bed. She is doing very well with her sound work. We have recently begun teaching our assistance dogs to alert their handler when they drop their keys, and Raelyn has picked up on this task quite well. Raelyn goes on town trips two times a week with her dog friends, going to many different stores and restaurants. Raelyn loves to go on long walks with her handler around campus where she is allowed to smell all the wonderful smells. This is a well-deserved reward for her after a day of training sessions!
