May 2024 Pupdate for Heirloom

Nyx (Heirloom) has had a fun month: she spent some time with foster trainer Annie again at Tarleton University, and we had a booth at a Pie Social last week. It is one of our students’ favorite events and they enjoyed showing Nyx off for the crowd. There were lots of other dogs there, and she did well with all the distractions. For her sounds, we are adding a response for name call as we have an applicant that needs help hearing her children. We are hopeful that when her application is fully complete, she will be a good match for Nyx. For her part, Nyx is happy to add as many sounds as possible! She is such a sweet cuddler that at the end of our high school and junior high clubs we often find students sprawled right out on the floor with her. She is very good at training them to give her belly rubs! A few weeks ago we took bluebonnet pictures with students and dogs. It’s my favorite time of year in Texas, I’m attaching a few favorites here.
